Mary Elsethagen

M.S., LPC

Mary was born in Southern California and raised in Kennewick, Washington.  She attended Eastern Washington University and obtained her Bachelor of Art degree in Applied Psychology.  She continued her education at EWU and earned a Master of Science in Psychology.  Over the past 25 years Mary has worked in a variety of clinical settings including outpatient clinics, inpatient psychiatric and substance abuse institutions, and residential treatment facilities.  She has worked with both youth and adult populations.

Mary utilizes a blend of Cognitive Behavioral, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Solution Focused strategies.  She believes in the power of collaboration and partnership with emphasis on identification of patient strengths. She incorporates these strengths along with guided reflection and cognitive restructuring to help patients sort out challenges and achieve goals.

In her free time, Mary enjoys spending time and playing games with her family and friends.
