Alexis Grimm is a licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in the state of Oregon. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association.
Alexis was born in the Seattle area and raised in Las Vegas, NV. She attended Southern Utah University and obtained her Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing. She worked as a RN for 12 years in NICU, Pediatrics, and on the Alzheimer’s Unit in a Skilled Nursing Facility. Her shift towards mental health started while working as an RN in the Alzheimer’s Unit. She worked Triage for Oregon and Idaho clinics at St. Luke’s. While working in these clinics, she recognized the challenges and lack of access to mental health care in rural areas.
This inspired her to pursue a Nurse Practitioner degree at Vanderbilt University, specializing in Psychiatric Mental Health. She has worked primarily in outpatient settings as a PMHNP and enjoys a diverse caseload. She has also taken additional classes specializing in child and adolescent psychopharmacology and has run group therapy classes for adolescents struggling with anxiety.
Alexis enjoys hiking and being outside. She is excited to return to the beautiful Pacific Northwest and hopes to help bridge the gap in access to mental health care in Hermiston and surrounding communities.
